Ramona Reyes Flores
passed away on February 10, 2019. She was born in Guadalupe, Arizona on February 29, 1940. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana, great nana, and friend. She is survived by her 8 children Arthur, Lydia, Eddie, Ernie, Mary Carmen, Mary Lou, Esther, and Raymond. She is also survived by her sisters, Frances Castro, Connie Martinez, and Susan Huerta, twenty-one grandchildren, fifty-one great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and her two dogs Brownie and Wedo.
“Monchie” as some would call her was a beautiful, loving, woman who was full of life and energy. She could light up an entire room with her spirit. People could not help but be drawn to her. Ramona’s love was unconditional. She treated everyone as family and welcomed them into her life and home with open arms. She had the heart of a lion, a soul of an Angel, and the mouth of a sailor. One of her favorite past times was harassing Esther Flores, who she loved dearly. Music (especially Marty and the Party), had a big influence in her life along with many friends she made during that time. You could always find her without a doubt watching him play, many times coming directly from the hospital, but she had to watch her Marty. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and spending time with her loved ones. Ramona was very outspoken, unpredictable and continued to make people laugh and smile with her random outbursts of provocative comments.
Ramona Flores put her faith in God and the love of her family above anything else. She was the strength of the family and the backbone that kept everyone together. She will forever be dancing in our hearts and memories leaving a bright sparkle of joy, laughter and love. Together now with her beloved husband, Raymond Flores, may she rest in peace.
