In baseball he won several first place and most valuable player trophies. He was a lifelong Dodgers fan. As a teenager his passion was cars. He would spend afternoons helping his dad working on cars. While sick, he took care of his mother until her untimely death. He later moved to Safford with his wife and kids. There he would spend his time taking Richard to his football practices and the girls to their soccer games. He enjoyed going on spontaneous drives with his father in-law Rito, and Rito’s brother Louie. He learned to cook from his mom and did not hesitate to show off his skills to his family in Safford.
