Age 55, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025. Tex is survived by his daughter, Madison Joan, father Richard Textor Golding, Sr., sisters Nancy Dennehy and Constance Quarnstrom (John), former wife Kimberly Golding, nieces Jessica Wasmund, Alysson Jackson, Mary Quarnstrom, nephews Peter Quarnstrom, Michael Dennehy and Eamon Dennehy, two grand nephews and a niece, an aunt and uncle, and seven cousins. Tex was born in Morristown, New Jersey in 1969 and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota after moving there in 1974. In 1993, Tex moved to Arizona to follow his passion for golf and warm weather. While in Arizona he worked in the hospitality industry and in the property management industry until he decided to follow his calling and join the teaching profession as a junior high school Special Education teacher. He loved working with the kids and helped many expand their horizons like building a school vegetable garden. The kids loved watching the garden grow and eat the rewards!
Tex was an all-around good guy, who loved all sports, especially ice hockey. He coached soccer and wrestling for Willis Junior High School. He was also an avid fisherman, golfer and birdwatcher.
Tex left an imprint on the hearts of all he met and taught, and he will be missed by many. His humor, kindness and laughter will last forever in our hearts. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 10th from 2-5 PM. The location is The American Legion Post 35, 2240 W. Chandler Blvd., Chandler, Arizona. A private family service will be held in Minnesota at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
