In 1963, Bob graduated from Seton High School in Chandler, AZ and went on to serve in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea for 13 months. Bob began a beautiful, eternal marriage to the love of his life, Patsy Ruth Shurtz, on February 6, 1970 in Mesa, AZ. He was a loving and devout father to sons Ralf Jarrett Kurzhals and Richard Glen Kurzhals as well as an exceptional figure in his adopted daughter, Wendy Schulte’s, life. His grandchildren include Wendy’s four daughters, Berlyn, Brooke, Tekatrianna, and Toddianna as well as Rick’s sons Jarrett Glen and Brian James. His great-grandchildren, Jacki, Zayda, Aedrius, and Auraelia, will share memories of ‘Papa Bob’ throughout time. Bob’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren laughed stomach-achingly at his timeless jokes and felt the warmth of his hugs throughout their time with him. Bob is also succeeded by his brother Mark J. Stoll Sr. and his wife Sylvia Stoll and their family as well as his loving sister Elsie Ann Stoll. He was a devoted club member to the Chandler Bass Club as bass fishing was one of his favorite hobbies. Bob was the co-founder and co-owner of the thriving company, Stoll Masonry Inc., that he shared with his brother, Mark. He cherished the company they built together as well as his New Mexico property and travelling back home to Iowa and across the continent to Alaska. Bob had never met a stranger; he treated every individual like family. He was an open, loving, and honorable gentleman whose word meant everything. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and human being. His dedication to family and life are embedded in those whose lives he touched.
