We lost an angel on June 13th with the unexpected passing of Rose Marie Coleman Hernandez. She was born on July 1, 1938. Her father Louis Coleman along with her grandmother Victoriania Martinez raised her mother in San Antonio Texas. While attending high school at Sidney Lanier she graduated May 28, 1957. She later went on to work as a Notary Republic at HIll Top Garage, and later remained in private practice as a Notary Republic from home. She met her husband Armando D Hernandez in high school and they Married on August 28, 1960. They celebrated a life of almost 62 years together. At age 39 Rosemarie and Armando adopted a single child and she selflessly committed to raising her as a stay at home mother, she never left her side.
In 2007 Rosemarie and Armando moved to Phoenix to be closer to their grandchildren who were the light of her life. They made their way to Sun Lakes where she was active in their church and community. She was a steward of all of God’s creatures and loved the animals that were a part of her life. Her love of reading was passed to her grandchildren, where she frequently visited the library. Rose Marie was truly an angel and cared and nurtured those she loved, she was always in the kitchen and loved making memories with her family. Food was a ticket for her soul and sharing it with others gave her great JOY. She loved handing out tamales and baked goods every Christmas. She had always been a giver and was happy to receive all the love we gave her in return.
In addition to her soul mate Armando, she is survived by her daughter Ronnie, her son in law Chris, and her three grandchildren Nathan, Christian, and Michael. She is survived by her siblings Tony Garza & Margarita Acosta. She had over 50 God Children whom she loved and cared for, she was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
