On Thursday, March 23, 2023, Rudolph (Rudy, Arturo, Gordo) Arthur Duarte loving Son, Brother, Father, and Uncle passed away unexpectedly in Phoenix, AZ at the age of 54.
Rudolph Arthur Duarte was born on December 16, 1968, in Phoenix, AZ to Rosemary Loya (Duarte). He attended Edison Elementary School and spent his high school years at North High School.
Rudy had a passion for cooking and drawing. He also had a passion for butterfly’s, he combined both of his favorite hobbies to create extraordinary exquisite art. He had a passion for his culture which inspired majority of his artwork. His art was admired by friends, family, and among others who enjoy his company. He was known for his silly personality, extraordinary thinker, as well being kind and compassionate in his own ways. He also loved a variation of music and was a collector of Phoenix Cardinals memorabilia.
Rudy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Enedina M. Duarte. He will be missed by his son, mother, big sister, Rosemarie Duarte and her spouse (Fernando Jiménez), younger brother, William Joe M. Duarte; niece’s, Marcelina D. Potter and her spouse (Randy Courtney), Christina Duarte, Marylynn Vargas, Adriana Duarte; Nephews Rene Vargas, Francisco Duarte-Hidalgo Jr, and Anthony G. Robles; great nieces and nephews, Gary P. Potter II, Jasmine M. Potter, Trinity A. Potter, Maximus A. Courtney, Nayda Vargas, Marylynn Vargas, Josefina Vargas, Rosa Vargas, Amy Vargas, Kenia Vargas, Jazlynn Vargas, Luz Vargas, Roman A. Duarte, Emma S. Robles and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins; numerous friends and associates.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr., Chandler, AZ 85225.
Rudy’s remains will be scattered along the mountains to be set free “fly like a butterfly.”
