Sandra "Sandi" Ginn

Sep 6, 1938 — Sep 27, 2026

Sandra “Sandi” Ginn, 88, of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, area, passed away September 27, 2026, in Chandler, Arizona.

Sandi was born in Sioux City, Iowa, to Phillip and Florence Hilton. She married the love of her life, Wayne, on July 11, 1964. They shared fifty three wonderful years together. Sandi and Wayne resided in Cedar Rapids, Center Point, and Lake Delhi until April 1985, when they moved to Chandler, Arizona.

Sandi worked at Dearborn Brass in Cedar Rapids and was co-owner of Linn County Nursery in Center Point. After moving to Arizona, she worked for Constar as a human resources manager. Following her retirement from Constar, Sandi continued working for Curran Masonry as an administrative assistant.

Sandi was a cherished aunt to many and had a true mother’s heart, always ready with love, advice, encouragement, and care. She had a wonderful way of making people feel welcome and loved.

Sandi had fond memories of her Lake Delhi days. Their home was filled with laughter, friends, family, and plenty of fun parties. There were always great times to be had and wonderful memories being made.

Sandi and Wayne were longtime members of the Arizona Street Rod Association. She loved the many journeys they took together, including cruising the California coast with their car club and enjoying the car club tea parties with the girls.

Sandi loved to shop and especially enjoyed visiting her favorite boutiques. She was always up for an adventure and believed you were never too old to try something new—even taking a bungee jump later in life! That adventurous spirit was just one of the things that made Sandi so much fun to be around.

Sandi loved to talk to everyone, wherever she went. She never seemed to meet a stranger, and she had a gift for making people smile. Sandi often said her goal was to make people smile every day—and she certainly accomplished that.

Sandi left us with so many wonderful memories, so much laughter, and countless reasons to smile. Her fun-loving spirit, good nature, and loving heart will be deeply missed and cherished forever.

Sandi is survived by her nieces and nephews: Lib Stowe, Ricky and Shelly Swindell, John and Leslie Baumhoefener, Tim and Barbie Nangle, Jamie and Wendy Baumhoefener, David and Jeri Newgaard, and Mike Newgaard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her sister, Patricia Doyle; her sisters-in-laws, Phyllis and Marv Noller; Judy Newgaard; and her nephews, Thomas Baumhoefener and Mike Doyle.
