Sandra L. Lix

Sandra L Lix (Chipps) was born June 12, 1947 in Denver, CO. to James Raymond Chipps and Geneva Anna Steismeyer.

She passed September 10, 2026 in Mesa, AZ peacefully surrounded by love.

Sandy was a lifelong educator. Many lives were touched by her goodness, from her in-home daycare ‘Sandy’s Camp’ where she was lovingly known as “Mommy Sandy”, to her tenure at the Mesa Public School District in Mesa, AZ.

She was glue- she worked magic knitting her family, community, and church community together the same way she would crochet many baby blankets for loved ones. She could craft, cook, and convince you to help her clean. She always had advice, a smile and an “I love you” until her last moments on this earth. And, as we know, she was always ready for a good party.

She was preceded into the arms of our Lord by her daughter Dawn Marie Clark, and her husband Gerasimos Lixouriotatos (Jerry Lix). She is watching over her children Christine and Lynn Boast, Tony and Debbie Lix, Spiro Lix, Tena and Doug Ables, Sheryl and Lesther Agustin, and Dimitra and Kevin Attwood, along with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 PM at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225.
