With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Scott Edward Dolezal, who left us far too soon on May 28, 2025, at the age of 60. Scott was a man of remarkable spirit—fiercely independent, endlessly curious, and full of life. His presence filled every room, and his absence leaves a silence that speaks volumes.
A lifelong lover of the water, Scott found his greatest joy in boat racing. Whether tearing across a lake at full throttle or fine-tuning an engine late into the night, he poured his heart into every moment on the water. Racing wasn’t just a passion, it was a reflection of his drive, determination, and love of challenge.
Scott did things his own way. He didn’t follow the crowd, and he never pretended to be anyone but himself. His younger years weren’t without hardship—many of the struggles he faced were of his own making—but he met them head-on. Over time, he grew, changed, and took responsibility for the life he wanted to live. In doing so, he earned the respect of those around him and became a man defined not by his past, but by the way he rose above it.
He is survived by Laura, his partner in all things; his mother Jaris; his brother Darin and sister-in-law Debbie; his nephew Brandon and niece Amber. He also leaves behind Travis, Courtney, and Samantha, the children Laura brought into their relationship, whom he loved deeply, and his cherished grandchildren: Rilee, Cam'ron, Kai, Cara, and Michael.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225 with a Viewing from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, share stories, and honor a man who lived boldly and loved deeply.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Racers For Christ (RFC)—an organization that reflects Scott’s passion and the racing community that meant so much to him.
He may have reached the finish line sooner than expected, but his legacy will ripple on—steady and strong, like the water he loved.
