Dixon, Sharon Lee
79, of Show Low, AZ died on January 20 in Phoenix. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 25, 1941, to parents George and Bernice Trosper. Sharon moved to Show Low in 2007 after retiring from a career with Kane County, IL where she was the manager of The Economic Development program. Although she acquired three separate degrees, she was an accomplished and free-spirited artist. Her mediums were oil, acrylic, pastels, pencil, and silver point. She was an active member in the Arts Alliance of the White Mountains. Sharon was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and passionate about preserving History – she served as a docent at the original Getty Museum in Los Angeles and at the Art Institute of Chicago.
She is survived by her children Jennifer, (Marc Strigle) and Steven Williams (Susan McDonnell) and her grandchildren Shannan (Nathan Ramsey), Tawni (Dudley Myers II) and their mother Wendy Williams; great-grandchildren Dean and Cora Myers, and Piper Ramsey; cousin Lynda Wolfram and her children and their spouses and children; brother-in-law Walter Brendecke and niece Alyson and nephew Jeffrey Brendecke (Gabriele). Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Malcolm, her parents, sister Jo Alice and brother George.
The family will host a celebration of life on Saturday, February 6 @ 9:30 MST at Bueler Mortuary,14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler AZ 885225. Burial service will follow at Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N.
