Siebe Hamstra

Siebe Hamstra (91) of Chandler, Arizona went to meet his Lord and Savior on December 27, 2025 after a long and blessed life. Siebe was born May 22, 1934 in Artesia, California to Hendrik (Henry) and Petronella Hamstra. After high school, Siebe joined the Army, and was stationed in Germany as a medic. In 1957, Siebe married Eileen Noordman, and shortly after they moved to Tempe, Arizona to begin their lives in the dairy business. In 1965, the family moved to Chandler, where they made their home and raised their family. On the rare day off from the dairy, he loved fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He lived a full life—he sailed sailboats, flew planes, hunted in Africa, deep sea fished, and enjoyed his annual fishing trip to Sitka, Alaska. He was a stubborn hard-worker who didn’t know the meaning of the words quit or retire. Above all, he cared deeply for God and for his family. He was the tree under whose refuge we took shelter, and we will miss him forever.

Siebe was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Eileen, and his parents. Siebe is survived by his loving family, including his sister Louise DeBoom and brother Jaap (Jacob) Hamstra, his children Renee, Carrie, and Leslie (Britt). He is also survived by his grandchildren JoLynn, Erin (Adam), Traci and Reagan, and great-grandchildren Jakub, Arie, and Anneliese, as well as many nieces and nephews, and cousins whom he loved. The Lord blessed him with a long life well-lived and well-loved. We should all be so blessed.

Visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary on Thursday, January 8, 2026 between 5-7 PM, 14 W. Hulet Dr., Chandler, AZ 85225.

Celebration of Life will be held at Arizona Community Church on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 1:30 PM, 9325 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ 85284
