Stanley Joe Hollar
, 65, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, passed away peacefully at his home on October 30, 2020.
Stan was born February 9, 1955 at Ellington AFB in Pasadena, TX. He graduated from Trevor G. Brown High school in Phoenix, AZ. He enlisted in the Army after high school and was a tank driver while serving in Germany. After his service, he earned a Bachelors Degree in political science from the University of Arizona. He worked for several businesses after his graduation before retiring a few years ago.
Stan enjoyed working on his cars, specially his beloved 1965 Mustang. He also enjoyed working on computers and playing videos games.
Stan was preceded in death by his father Bobby Joe Hollar and mother Beverly Sue Hollar. He is survived by his brother Philip Hollar (husband of Judy Hollar) of Palestine, TX, two nephews, Michael Hollar (husband of Ginny Hollar) of Studio City, CA, and Nicholas Hollar (husband of Melissa Hollar) of Indianapolis, IN, one grand niece, Alexandra Hollar, two grand nephews, Ethan Hollar and Samuel Hollar, and loving girlfriend of several years, Mary Maund.
Stan will be buried with his fellow brothers and sisters in arms at National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
