Susan "Susie" Bloomer

Susan “Susie” (Seifer) Bloomer, 83, of Maricopa, AZ, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family,

Born on May 18, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Susie was the beloved daughter of Dr. Arthur F. Seifer and Anne Satterthwaite Seifer. From an early age, she embodied kindness and warmth, as well as a love of dancing and fashion. Throughout her life, Susie was involved with a variety of volunteer work and positions in retail & radio, as an AM/FM DJ, “Suzanne Reporting”.

Susie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, David A. Bloomer, Jr.; two children, Jeremy T. Bloomer and Jessica A. (Kevin) Doscher; and grandsons, Brennan and Miles. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara (Rod) Paul, brother-in-law Charlie (Barbara) Bloomer, along with her nieces and nephews, David (Laura) Paul, Andrew (Lindsay) Paul, Garrett (Deborah) Bloomer, Courtnay (Steven) Eisenberg-Bloomer as well as five cousins.

Susie lived a life defined by kindness, grace, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. While her family was the center of her world, her warm spirit and generous heart touched the lives of many treasured friends and neighbors. She had a special ability to make others feel noticed, appreciated, and loved.

A passionate defender of animals, Susie dedicated herself to supporting numerous animal welfare organizations throughout her life. Her compassion extended beyond donations and advocacy; she found great happiness in caring for the birds and wildlife that visited her yards, as well as all her family pets.

Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. A celebration of Susie’s life will be held later this year.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT.
