With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved mother, sister, and child, Teru Queen. Teru passed on peacefully in her home in Chandler, Arizona on August 13, 2020 at the age of 57.
Teru is survived by her mother, Terue Queen (Maricopa, Arizona), her siblings; Harold Queen (Maricopa, Arizona), Michael Queen (Maricopa, Arizona), and Margaret Garcia (O’hau, Hawaii), and her children; Evan Quintus (Gilbert, Arizona) and Nicole Quintus (Chandler, Arizona). She is preceded in death by her father, James Queen (O’hau, Hawaii), and nephew, Robert Molale (O’hau, Hawaii).
Teru was born on April 13
th
, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas to Terue Queen and James Queen. She graduated from Waipahu High School in 1981. She went on to earn an Associate in Science degree in accounting from The University of Hawaii in 1984, a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Quinnipiac College in 1988, and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2003. In addition to her pursuit of education, Teru served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1981 to 1983. After traveling around the United States and living internationally in Hong Kong, Teru chose Chandler, Arizona as her final place of residence. She is remembered for her endless positivity, beaming smile, timeless beauty, relentless servitude of Christ, and exceptional motherhood.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 10AM MST on August 22, 2020; the service will be available for virtual attendance. Pastor Manny Mello will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Teru’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to her home address in Chandler, Arizona.
