William "Bill” A. Moore, 90, a quiet man of faith, was called to God’s Eternal Glory on July 3, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona. Bill was born on August 9, 1934, to parents George Albert Moore and Ruth Siggins Moore in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. Bill married the love of his life, Marilyn M. Noll, on August 25, 1956, after he returned from completing his service in the United States Army. The newlyweds relocated to Florida as Bill pursued a career in aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. They returned to the Pittsburgh area with Bill’s Airframe and Powerplant license in hand. They established their first home in Plum Borough, Pennsylvania, and welcomed their three loving children. A growing family, and the launch of a thirty-one-year aviation mechanic career with Allegheny Airlines/USAir prompted a move to Moon Township, Pennsylvania. Bill was proud of the many roles he held with the airline, but he considered his position as Inspector to be his greatest career accomplishment. Bill took great pride in being able to provide memorable vacations for his family through his flight benefits. Their retirement adventure began in Fountain Hills, Arizona, after several family vacations enamored Arizona in their hearts. Bill took great joy in his favorite post- retirement position as a driver for the Fountain Hills Red Cross where strangers quickly became friends. Bill and Marilyn spent 8 years in San Antonio before Arizona lured them back where they found a new world of activities and wonderful friends in Solera, Chandler, Arizona.
Bill leaves behind Marilyn, his best friend, and loving wife of 68 years; Children Sharon, Gregory (Cheryl), and Shawna (Wade); grandchildren Kayla, Hannah, Angela, Melissa, and Matthew; great-granddaughter Adalyn.
Bill will receive full military honors on July 18, 2025, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona commencing at 10:30 AM.
